As a consultant in public health medicine my life rockets from megalomaniac type decision making about acute service configuration to deciding the right tag line to engage teenage boys and make them more aware of domestic violence.  Before public health I was a GP VTS and worked my way through a range of clinical specialities. Outside of work over the last few years I have done a fair bit on LGBT health, helping to found the UK LGBT Health Summit, being an advisor to the Department of Health and the Metropolitan Police, I also founded the Gay Institute for the Out and House Proud! Since becoming a consultant in 2007 I've downsized some of the outside of work stuff but remain active at the BMA and on homeless issues, I live in Bermondsey in SE London.
